Some of the stuff I work on doesn't make the cut so I thought about gathering them up in a single post. So basically it's images I have little or no info about or I've decided that they don't get their own thread, for example, because of low image/content quality, lack of backstory or additional info/knowledge, possibly uninteresting, only one image but not very special. I still do the usual image work including upscaling and color correction as needed, as I prefer to have my content high quality and educational.

Case 1

Deformation of the head after being run over the head by the wheel of a moving car. Pedestrian-vehicle crashes are a major problem in the United States. In 2003, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that approximately 4,700 pedestrians were killed and another 70,000 injured due to pedestrian-vehicle crashes. On average, a pedestrian is killed in a traffic collision every 113 minutes and injured every eight minutes. Although only 8.6 percent of all trips are made on foot, 11.4 percent of all traffic deaths are pedestrians.

This helicopter pilot died after his helicopter crashed. He sustained open traumatic brain injury and closed chest and abdominal trauma. According to statistic reports released by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Safety Team, your chances of dying in a helicopter accident are remarkably low, as there is less than one fatal helicopter crash per 100,000 hours of fly time.

This individual died from a suicidal gunshot wound under the chin.

Fig4.2 Opening of the wound.

Russia. A man was killed during strong winds when a large branch on a tree broke off and landed on the man's head. Death was due to crushing head injuries.

Fig5.1 4th of July fatal firework accident.

USA. This individual died when trying to fire a 3" aerial shell on July 4th. The shell exploded in to his face causing evisceration of the brain.

Russia. A man was nearly decapitated in a fatal car crash when he lost control of his car. A thin flap of skin holds the head in place. The man was intoxicated.
