Some of the stuff I work on doesn't make the cut so I thought about gathering them up in a single post. So basically it's images I have little or no info about or I've decided that they don't get their own thread, for example, because of low image/content quality, lack of backstory or additional info/knowledge, possibly uninteresting, only one image but not very special. I still do the usual image work including upscaling and color correction as needed, as I prefer to have my content high quality and educational.

This individual committed suicide by ingesting excess prescription medication and placing a loosely fixed plastic bag over the head. the moisture collecting at the face covered by plastic during breathing helped to create an environment where mold and mildew could form at the chin and face.

This individual was found lying on his left side with a mild to moderate degree of putrefaction. note the puddle of purged fluid underneath his upper trunk and head. Also note the greater decomposition with green discoloration in the regions of dependent lividity where the body contacted the warm floor. purged fluid such as this is often misinterpreted as the result of traumatic injury.

Complete conversion of a body to adipocere. The body was recovered from a deep lake 8 years after disappearing in a boating accident during a heavy storm. An important and relatively common post-mortem change is the formation of adipocere, a waxy substance derived from the body fat. In most instances the change of adipocere is partial and irregular, though occasionally almost the whole body may be affected. In small amounts, adipocere is more common than usually thought in buried or concealed corpses. It is caused by hydrolysis and hydrogenation of adipose tissue, leading to the formation of a greasy or waxy substance if of recent origin.

After months or years have passed, adipocere becomes brittle and chalky. The formation of adipocere, as an alternative to total putrefaction, requires certain environmental conditions. A body left exposed in air, unless the conditions are conducive to mummification, will undergo moist putrefaction if the temperature remains above about 5–8°C. In burials, immersion in water and in incarceration in vaults and crypts, adipocere often forms to a greater or lesser extent.

Police responded to a single-family residence. Upon arrival, they were met at the front door by the victim’s husband, who indicated that his wife had shot herself. Blood was observed on the husband’s clothing. The victim was located lying on the bed in the master bedroom. She was clad in pajamas and was partially covered with blankets. The victim had sustained a single gunshot wound to the right side of her head.

A Sig Sauer, P226, 9-mm pistol was located on the nightstand adjacent to the bed, the clip had been removed and the slide was locked open. The husband acknowledged removing the clip and clearing the pistol and placing it on the nightstand; he also indicated he washed blood off his hands and face in the bathroom, although he denied any involvement in the death of his wife. The victim died as a result of a single close-contact gunshot wound to the right side of her face, just anterior to the right ear. The projectile did not exit her body.

Shock Candy First one is like the Grim Reaper in camouflage but without the scythe. Image #5 is awesome, could be titled as "Don't Fuck with Mummy". . Case #7 looks disturbing but must check out that full case report.
