The Shocker's Mix 84
Some of the stuff I work on doesn't make the cut so I thought about gathering them up in a single post. So basically it's images I have little or no info about or I've decided that they don't get their own thread, for example, because of low image/content quality, lack of backstory or additional info/knowledge, possibly uninteresting, only one image but not very special. I still do the usual image work including upscaling and color correction as needed, as I prefer to have my content high quality and educational. - - - Case 1 Fig1.1 Animal scavenging. This individual has been scavenged by an unknown animal. No further info. - - - Case 2 Fig2.1 Face cut of in motorcycle accident. This motorcyclist died when he collided with a car and his face was cut off by the windshield of the car. No further info. - - - Case 3 Fig3.1 An injury produced by a seatbelt shoulder strap. A patterned injury produced by the driver-side seatbelt shoulder strap. Patterned injuries can occur when impact occurs with various objects within the interior of the automobile. One of the most common patterned injuries occurs from seatbelts, including lap and shoulder straps. With the sudden deceleration that occurs in many motor vehicle collisions, patterned abrasions and contusions (and occasionally lacerations) frequently occur horizontally on the lower abdomen and diagonally across the chest to the shoulder (right or left, depending on location of victim). - - - Case 4 Fig4.1 High-velocity exit wound. A high-velocity exit wound, with extensive tissue damage. High-velocity exit wounds tend to be quite large and destructive, sometimes occurring as multiple exit sites. - - - Case 5 Fig5.1 Chop wound by the claw end of a crowbar. A chop wound produced by the claw end of a crowbar. No further info. A chop wound represents a combination of sharp and blunt force injuries, typically produced by a heavy or "powerful" object that has an edge that is somewhat sharp to very sharp, or by a sharp object wielded with a tremendous amount of force. The edge of the object creates a sharp force injury, characterized by cutting of the skin and underlying tissues, whereas the intensity of the force, or the relative "bluntness" of the object, results in associated abrasions, lacerations, and/or contusions, with or without underlying fractures. A chop wound's appearance may also aid in determining the type of weapon used, as the wounds may take on the pattern of the weapon. - - - Case 6 Fig6.1 Incomplete decapitation injury. This photo shows an incomplete decapitation injury caused by high-speed impact with a cable while the victim was driving a recreational vehicle. Decapitation injuries may or may not represent true sharp force injuries in that they can occur as a result of contact with a sharp edge or as a result of sudden deceleration with or without associated blunt force impact. - - - Case 7 Fig7.1 Back. Ligature tied tightly around the waist/torso securing the wrist ties to the anterior body. Fig7.2 Blindfold placed about the head and secured over the eyes and nose. Fig7.3 Left and right ankles bound together. On March 13, 1999, in San Luis Obispo, California, Aundria Crawford was reported missing by her mother. Aundria’s mother usually spoke with her daughter every day. She hadn’t heard from her since March 11. Aundria was a 20-year-old student from Fresno, California, who was attending Cuesta Community College in San Luis Obispo, California. Investigators, who responded to her residence, determined that she was abducted from her duplex apartment sometime during the early morning hours of March 11. The point of entry into her apartment was determined to be through a small transom-type window. The police found blood on the floor suggesting that Aundria had been injured. Investigators determined that someone had taken a TV, VCR, tapes, and some CDs. The mother reported that Aundria’s 8-ball key chain was missing and that someone had locked her unit door. On March 16, 1999, Parole Officer David Zaragoza decided to check up on one of his parolees, Rex Krebs. Krebs was a 35-year-old convicted rapist and ex-con. The parole officer had read an article in the local paper about the abduction of Aundria Crawford. He recognized several similarities in the Crawford case that matched one of Krebs’ prior sexual offenses. Re: The Shocker's Mix 84
case 2 was fucking clean...!!! & case 4's injuries have a 'fantastical' design value.. they're beautiful!!! shame that the victim fell... victim to it (and/or accompanying injuries)... case 6 is goddamn gruesome. the depth of the wound itself and its immediate color are harrowing... i love it. +1 for house Herman. |
