The Shocker's Mix 72
Some of the stuff I work on doesn't make the cut so I thought about gathering them up in a single post. So basically it's images I have little or no info about or I've decided that they don't get their own thread, for example, because of low image/content quality, lack of backstory or additional info/knowledge, possibly uninteresting, only one image but not very special. I still do the usual image work including upscaling and color correction as needed, as I prefer to have my content high quality and educational. - - - Case 1  Fig1.1 Fatal stab-cut and incised wounds.  Fig1.2  Fig1.3  Fig1.4 Russia. This woman has fatal stab-cut and incised wounds on the neck from her roommate. No further info. - - - Case 2  Fig2.1 Cut and slash wounds. Russia. This individual has multiple cut wounds and slash wounds. No further info. Slash wounds occur as a result of tangential movements of sharp implements across the skin surface, for example razors, broken glass, knives, swords etc. They are often deeper at their origin, and tend to be more superficial at their termination. They are often aimed at the head or neck with fewer injuries aimed at the upper limb and trunk. - - - Case 3  Fig3.1 Train track suicide.  Fig3.2  Fig3.3 Russia. This individual committed suicide by laying on train tracks, she then got decapitated from an arriving train. No further info. - - - Case 4  Fig4.1 The partially clad body of a woman.  Fig4.2 This apparent case of a sex slaying is actually a natural death due to a ruptured aneurysm. USA. This apparent case of a sex slaying is actually a natural death due to a ruptured aneurysm. The deceased had been in bed with her married boyfriend when she suddenly passed out. He had placed her on the floor, tried to resuscitate her before attempting to redress her. He called 911 before quickly leaving the apartment. - - - Case 5  Fig5.1 A victim who has died in a fire. Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. Firefighters had responded to a house fire and in the process of extinguishing the fire discovered the body of a badly burned female victim. Upon closer examination it was observed that the victim’s arms were bound behind her back. This case was a homicide where the perpetrator started the fire to destroy the body and any physical evidence. Many times arson is used to cover up a homicide; therefore, the immediate concern of the investigator at such cases should be the scene examination. - - - Case 6  Fig6.1 The nude body of a 27-year-old victim lying on the bedroom floor.  Fig6.2 The hairbrush had been jammed into the vagina after the victim was strangled to death. USA. The police were summoned to an apartment when friends of the deceased recounted that she had failed to report for work. Police entered the apartment and discovered the nude body of the 27-year-old victim lying on the bedroom floor. Her pants and panties had been pulled down and her blouse was in disarray. A hairbrush had been inserted into her vagina. She had been beaten and strangled to death with a ligature, which was not present in the scene. A review of the crime scene indicated that someone had gone through the dresser drawers and closets, suggesting a burglary. The victim’s clothes were found scattered across the floor and the contents of the drawers were spilled out on the bed. There had been no forced entry, suggesting the victim had allowed the person into her apartment. A check into the victimology indicated that the young woman was a divorcee who had left an abusive marriage. She had enrolled in a nursing program and had recently received her nurse certification. She had been dating since her divorce but did not have a steady boyfriend. The police investigation indicated that the crime scene had been staged to suggest a burglary. However, nothing of value was missing. There had been no sexual assault. However, the insertion of the hairbrush into her vagina certainly indicated an anger and rage consistent with an interpersonal-oriented dispute and assault. The former husband emerged as the most promising suspect after the detectives were able to break his alibi. He had convinced his current girlfriend to provide him with an alibi. He had gone to his former wife’s apartment in an attempt to reconcile with her. When she refused his entreaty, he killed her in anger. He left the apartment and returned 24 hours later.
