The Shocker's Mix 31
Some of the stuff I work on doesn't make the cut so I thought about gathering them up in a single post. So basically it's images I have little or no info about or I've decided that they don't get their own thread, for example, because of low image/content quality, lack of backstory or additional info/knowledge, possibly uninteresting, only one image but not very special. I still do the usual image work including upscaling and color correction as needed, as I prefer to have my content high quality and educational. - - - Case 1 Fig1.1 A contact shotgun wound of the lower chin. A contact shotgun wound of the lower chin. Note the stretch-type lacerations of the right side of the face. In gunshot injuries in soft parts of the body, especially in the brain, the bullet can produce a considerable explosive effect, which is greatest with unjacketed or soft-nosed bullets from high-velocity firearms. Such a bullet may split into several parts, each of which forms its own track, and thus several exit wounds may be present. When such a bullet strikes the head, large parts of the cranium can be blown away and the brain scattered around. - - - Case 2 Fig2.1 Homicidal incised wounds of the neck inflicted from the front. Incised wounds of the neck can be accidental, homicidal or suicidal. Accidental wounds are extremely rare, usually seen only when an individual goes through a sheet of glass or is struck in the neck by a flying fragment of glass or some other sharp-edged projectile. Homicidal incised wounds of the neck present two different pictures, depending on whether they are produced from the back or the front. Most commonly, a person’s throat is cut from behind. The head is pulled back, exposing the neck, and the knife is then drawn across it. Often, the victim is face down on the floor or ground at the time the wound is inflicted. The perpetrator usually starts the incision high up on the side of the neck opposite to the hand they are using. The knife is drawn across the neck, from left to right by a right-handed assailant and from right to left by a left handed individual. The wound inflicted is first shallow, then deeper and then shallow again, terminating on the opposite side of the neck. The wound generally starts below the ear; runs downward and medially at an angle, then straight across the midline of the neck, and then upward, ending on the opposite side of the neck, lower than its point of initiation. - - - Case 3 Fig3.1 Contact wound of the left breast. Contact wound of the left breast from a double barrel 0.12 gauge shotgun with a muzzle impression from the non discharged barrel above. Shotguns are popular world wide and more of these weapons exist than the rifled types. With an increasing incidence and prevalence of gunshot wounds it is important for traumatologists to be familiar with shotgun wound ballistics. Shotgun wounds differ from those of other missiles because the spectrum of wound severity is large owing to the fact that the pellets scatter as they travel. Close-range shotgun wounds can be as destructive as those from a high-velocity rifle, but longer weapon-victim ranges may produce only minimal injury. The type of shot (size and weight of pellets) used also determines the type of injury, with more serious injuries produced by the larger type of buckshot (greater than 0.14 inches in diameter). The severity of injury from birdshot depends mainly on the "effective" weapon-victim range which can be calculated from the shot size and shot pattern either clinically or from X-ray. Wounds may then be classified according to severity, yielding information on prognosis and extent of investigation and treatment required. - - - Case 4 Fig4.1 Multiple injuries on a young adult female from an attack by three large dogs. Dallas, Texas, US. This image shows multiple injuries on a young adult female from an attack by three large dogs. Note that the hair has been removed in order to document the injuries. Certain wild and domestic animal attacks can cause death by a combination of sharp and blunt injuries, with possible contributing asphyxial mechanisms. No further info. - - - Case 5 Fig5.1 Bodies removed from water show excessive gas production. Bodies removed from water show excessive gas production and tissue discoloration, owing to explosive bacterial gas production. The gas causes the bodies to bloat excessively, which can cause an explosion or sudden rupture of the tense abdomen. The pressure may cause the eye globes and tongue to protrude. A body in water generally decomposes more slowly due to the colder temperatures as well as the lack of oxygen. However, a body disposed in a septic tank or in waters containing large amounts of chemical waste or bacteria will cause accelerated decomposition. Marine life, especially crabs and lobsters, are known to nibble on “floaters” (bodies in the water). - - - Case 6 Fig6.1 Swelling of the scrotum and abdomen from putrefaction and accumulation of gases. Swelling of the scrotum and abdomen occurs with putrefaction as gases accumulate from bacterial action. Numerous maggots can also be seen on the surface of the body. Usually the first external naked-eye sign of putrefaction is discoloration of the lower abdominal wall, most often in the right iliac fossa where the bacteria-laden caecum lies fairly superficially. Direct spread of organisms from the bowel into the tissues of the abdominal wall breaks down haemoglobin into sulphaemoglobin and other pigmented substances. This discoloration spreads progressively over the abdomen, which in the later phase begins to become distended with gas. At about this time, more generalized spread of bacteria begins to discolour the more moist tissues. The putrefactive bacteria, which largely originate in the intestines and lungs, spread most easily in fluid so they tend to colonize the venous system, haemolysing the blood that stains the vessel walls and adjacent tissues. This gives rise to ‘marbling’, a branching outline of arborescent red, then greenish pattern in the skin, seen most clearly on the thighs, sides of the abdomen, and chest and shoulders. At or even before the stage of marbling, skin blisters may appear, at first on the lower surfaces of trunk and thighs where hypostatic oedema has loaded the tissues with fluid. Gas formation will now become marked, with increased tension in the abdomen. The scrotum and penis may swell up to remarkable size and the neck and face will become grotesquely bloated, making visual identification difficult or impossible. The pressure may cause the eye globes and tongue to protrude. Purging of urine and faeces may occur due to the intra-abdominal pressure and, occasionally, a uterine prolapse may be extruded. There are recorded instances of pregnant women having a macabre post-mortem ‘delivery’ of the fetus, from the same cause. - - - Case 7 Fig7.1 Victim seen in profile detailing the passage of the projectile. Fig7.2 Hard contact type high velocity gunshot discharge beneath the chin. This man committed a suicide with a rifle loaded with .308 Winchester. Note the hard contact type high velocity gunshot discharge beneath the chin, and soot deposition beneath the chin with radial splitting lacerations. Note also the upward passage of the projectile, which causes linear midline splitting laceration to the facial soft issues. The muzzle was angled slightly anteriorly. Much of the brain was expelled in this case. Note petal like disruption and collapse of the calvarium. Re: The Shocker's Mix 31
#3 ruined a nice small titty. therefore, instant death penalty ... From picture, obviously a small bodied female. Like, how can a guy want to kill a woman like that, what physical danger did she pose? none If a 220 pound hood mamma wildebeast or cankle legged trailer trash bitch with serious strength is attacking you, they can do damage to a guy, so maybe you might need to shoot them, but only a *** punk guy kills a harmless small chick like that. no excuse. |
