The Shocker's Mix 28
Some of the stuff I work on doesn't make the cut so I thought about gathering them up in a single post. So basically it's images I have little or no info about or I've decided that they don't get their own thread, for example, because of low image/content quality, lack of backstory or additional info/knowledge, possibly uninteresting, only one image but not very special. I still do the usual image work including upscaling and color correction as needed, as I prefer to have my content high quality and educational. - - - Case 1 Fig1.1 Postmortem rat bites. This individual received the injuries postmortem by rats, cause of death unknown. No further info on the case. A body lying in the open may be damaged by the bites of mice and rats, or of larger animals such as foxes and dogs. We may easily recognize the marks of their teeth on the bones. Carrion-eating birds cause damage primarily to the unprotected soft areas, namely the eyes and face. Apart from death scene routine and autopsy procedure, the investigation of cases of postmortem animal interference needs specific attention. While the identification of antemortem injury versus postmortem artifact generally presents no difficulties and a characteristic parallel series of furrows created by the animals incisors is indicative of rodent gnawing to bones, the determination of rodent species by the morphological appearance of damage to skin and soft tissue can be unconvincing. At first sight these injuries may be even misinterpreted as the result of a sharp-bladed instrument. However, the presence of fecal material of rodent origin at the scene, or rodent hair found in the nearby vicinity of the body, can give hints towards animal activity. - - - Case 2 Fig2.1 Stab injury to the skull. Fig2.2 Instrument of stab wound to the skull. A 23-year-old police officer was killed while on duty. The victim was attacked by multiple assailants, and one of the attackers stabbed the victim, who had been knocked down and unconscious, in the temple with a two-edged dagger with such force that the instrument sunk into the skull up to the handle of the dagger wedging itself so tightly into the base of the skull that it couldn't be removed during neuro-surgical care. The injury was produced by such a great force that it left an imprint of the handle on the skin. - - - Case 3 Fig3.1 Parallel hacking injuries on the face and skull from an axe [Colorized]. Fig3.2 The original black and white image. This man was fatally struck in the head with an axe by his wife while he slept, no further info, I colorized the original black and white image. In hacking injuries produced by an assailant, the wounds are rough and serious, causing wide-spread lacerations, usually to the head. In some instances, self-defense injuries can be found on the palms and forearms. The healing ability of hacking injuries is worse than that of incision injuries. In the side of the injury, especially in injuries caused by dull-bladed instruments, wide local tissue necrosis spreads, which does not occur in incisions of first intention, and they heal by second intention only rarely within eight days. Other factors come into play in the healing of bones that happen to get injured. An attack to the head that opens the cranial vault is a life-threatening situation. Clinical examination of the patient must involve exclusion of injury to the brain. - - - Case 4 Fig4.1 Tire marks on the skin. This individual was killed when he was run over by a vehicle. One characteristic of traffic accidents is the impression left by the protruding part of the vehicle, or the tire print left by a rubber bumper on the skin. No further info. It is well known that if a person is run over by a vehicle a crushing type of trauma occurs. Severe crushing injuries of organs usually occure and are as a rule, obvious but the severity depends on the weight of the vehicle and its ground clearance. Running over the trunk can cause rib fractures, thoracic and lumbar spine fractures and crushing injuries of organs in the thoracic and the abdominal cavities. - - - Case 5 Fig5.1 Suicide victim detonated one kilogram of TNT on his chest. Blast injury. The suicide victim detonated one kilogram of TNT on his chest. No further info. Explosive-caused injuries may be from an explosive mixture of nitrocellulose, nitrocellulose-nitroglycerin mixture, dynamite, or gunpowder. The container for the explosive may play a role when, if with the explosion it breaks into pieces and the pieces cause serious injuries. These injuries are similar to gunshot wounds, being high energy containing particles, they cause perforating and lacerating injuries, which due to the irregular tumbling tendency cause irregular shaped holes or large injuries to soft tissues, but larger pieces may cause amputations. Death occurs from shock or bleeding to death due to injury to vital organs. Among the later complications, soft tissue injuries are the most important and gangrene from infection by anaerobes is a possibility. Massive pieces of metal and metal bits or residue of the explosive may show the source of the injury. - - - Case 6 Fig6.1 Significant abdominal bloating and larval activity. Fig6.2 Bloating and larval activity. Associated with putrefaction is the production of gases. These gases, primarily located in the abdomen, cause the body to become distended or bloat. This bloating can cause the affected areas of the body to expand dramatically. Over time the affected areas may rupture or the gas may subside naturally. Skin slippage, or the shedding of the epidermis from the body caused by the deterioration of the junction between the dermis and epidermis, is also associated with early decomposition processes. Many local environmental factors affect the decomposition process, including temperature, moisture, and soil chemistry, but the processes of autolysis and putrefaction are responsible for the chemical breakdown of tissues. - Part 1 --- Part 2 --- Part 3 --- Part 4 --- Part 5 --- Part 6 --- Part 7 --- Part 8 --- Part 9 --- Part 10 --- Part 11 --- Part 12 --- Part 13 --- Part 14 --- Part 15 --- Part 16 --- Part 17 --- Part 18 --- Part 19 --- Part 20 --- Part 21 --- Part 22 --- Part 23 --- Part 24 --- Part 25 --- Part 26 --- Part 27 - This post is for educational purposes only and is nonprofit. Re: The Shocker's Mix 28
Herman New and creative KYS method - one kilogram of TNT on the chest. guess he still wanted the open-casket funeral. The cop who was killed with the knife - the assailant was one determined and motivated individual. Too bad the assailant didn't do that to himself instead of the cop. RIP. |
