Dominican Teenager Found Dead in Forested Area With Signs of Strangulation
Santiago, Dominican Republic The body of a teenager, Lissette N.A.P., was found in a forested area, with signs of violence. A forensic doctor preliminarily pinned the cause of death as asphyxiation by strangulation, with marks from a ligature on her neck. Family members reported that, the day before she was found, Lissette had got into a vehicle with her ex-partner, 29-year-old Hansel E.C.M., who was identified as the main suspect. After days of searches, Hansel turned himself in, accompanied by a lawyer. Hansel was given three months of preventive detention as the investigation into Lissette's murder continues. |
