He was just trying to hit the guy, was losing his balance when he did it, and his skate came up and hit the guys neck. Nothing nefarious about it. Happens all the time. Richard Zednick from the Florida panthers, Clint Mallardchuck from the Buffalo Sabers. The injuries that happen all the time aren't always that bad, small cuts, or even sliced jerseys. But this was a bad one. Accidents are going to happen when you play the fastest sport in the world with knives on your feet.
