The Shocker's Mix 27
Some of the stuff I work on doesn't make the cut so I thought about gathering them up in a single post. So basically it's images I have little or no info about or I've decided that they don't get their own thread, for example, because of low image/content quality, lack of backstory or additional info/knowledge, possibly uninteresting, only one image but not very special. I still do the usual image work including upscaling and color correction as needed, as I prefer to have my content high quality and educational. - - - Case 1 Fig1.1 Woman who committed suicide by hanging found 19 months later. Germany. A decomposed body was found hanging from a tree in a forest. The body belonged to a 54-year-old woman who committed suicide by hanging 19 months earlier. The string was an antenna cable formed in an open loop and was attached to a branch. The body was mummified and partially clothed, white mold was observed on the thigh. The neck had elongated over time due to the separation of the cervical vertebrae. - - - Case 2 Fig2.1 Death scene. Her face was pale and the protrusion of the tongue was observed. Fig2.2 Hypostatic discoloration of the ear and neck region. Fig2.3 Dark red, streaky intracutaneous hemorrhages on the skin ridges between the individual turns of the loop. Germany. A 45-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself in her bathroom. The string was attached to the top frame of the shower stall. The string consists of several parallel and spiral turns of a green plastic clothesline. The feet were not in contact with the ground. Her face was pale and the protrusion of the tongue was observed. Hypostatic discoloration of the ear and neck region and dark red, streaky intracutaneous hemorrhages on the skin ridges between the individual turns of the loop. - - - Case 3 Fig3.1 The hanging French maid. Germany. A 21-year-old man was found hanging in a stairwell. A noose ran around the neck, ascending to the left occipital region. Feet were touching the ground and the knees were bent. An overturned chair lay next to the body. The man wore a “French Maid” costume but no underwear. Upon inspection of the deceased's room, the packaging of the maid's dress and various sex toys were found. Possibly an autoerotic death. - - - Case 4 Fig4.1 Man found hanging from a tree. Germany. Atypical hanging of a 42-year-old man in a seated position with a noose knot in the left neck region. The rope was attached to a thick branch at a height of 3 m (10 ft). Simple sling with snap hook. The woodpile had served as a climbing aid. Rope mark on the right side of the neck with drying out in sections and a pattern-like reproduction of the rope. In typical hanging the knot of the ligature should be at the nape of the neck and the knot of the ligature at any site other than the nape of the neck is Atypical hanging. - - - Case 5 Fig5.1 Complex suicide of a 31-year-old man. Germany. Complex suicide of a 31-year-old man following the attempted killing of his 29-year-old partner. Atypical hanging in a kneeling posture with a scarf. The sling knot is in the chin region. The scarf is attached to the rod of the shower curtain. Extensive bloodstains on the floor and in the sink where a jackknife was found with traces of blood on the tip of the blade (used in the attempted homicide and in the first phase of suicide). Lacerations on the right side of the neck were inflicted in the first phase of suicide (along with tentative stabs in the precordial region). The term “complex suicide” refers to suicides in which more than one suicide method is applied. In this context, a distinction can be made between planned and unplanned complex suicides. In planned complex suicides, two or more methods are employed simultaneously in order to make sure that death will occur even if one method fails. In unplanned complex suicides, several other methods of suicide are tried after the first method chosen failed to gain one’s end or when it proved to be too painful. - - - Case 6 Fig6.1 Hanging decomposing body. Brazil. On 26 January 2016, at 8:10 pm, the body of a 46-year-old male dressed in t-shirt and Bermuda shorts was found in incomplete suspension (partially hanged) tied up to a tree by a piece of cotton clothing. The body was found in a peri-urban area in the municipality of Jaboatão dos Guararapes. Following an anonymous phone call, the police arrived and isolated the area, after which the investigators collected the evidence. The forensic examination did not find any evidence of a struggle, defensive wounds, or signs of violence on the body so the death was attributed to suicide by asphyxia due to hanging. The body was at the end of the bloated stage with some parts (e.g. face) showing some characteristics of the active decay stage. - - - Case 7 Fig7.1 The body at the time of discovery showing the lashing belt around the neck. Fig7.2 A horizontal impressed strangulation mark with excoriation below the position of the metal ratchet was visible after the lashing belt was removed. Germany. At the end of August, a 32-year-old man went missing after he had a dispute with his former girlfriend. Six days later, he was found dead sitting on a deer stand near a forest meadow. Around his neck was a blue-grey lashing belt, which had been pulled tight with a ratchet located on the right side. His back, shoulders, and the right side of his head were leaning against the wooden wall of the deer stand. An empty backpack and a framed picture of him with his former girlfriend was found in the deer stand. His neck and face showed livores, especially above the strangulation mark and on the right side of the face. The case history, death scene, autopsy results, and further analysis revealed strong indications of suicide. - Part 1 --- Part 2 --- Part 3 --- Part 4 --- Part 5 --- Part 6 --- Part 7 --- Part 8 --- Part 9 --- Part 10 --- Part 11 --- Part 12 --- Part 13 --- Part 14 --- Part 15 --- Part 16 --- Part 17 --- Part 18 --- Part 19 --- Part 20 --- Part 21 --- Part 22 --- Part 23 --- Part 24 --- Part 25 --- Part 26 - This post is for educational purposes only and is nonprofit. The germany suicides i have mixed feelings about. Too bad the person is dead but germany is going down the toilet the last 8 or so years. They were too welcoming ...
