Re: WASHINGTON D.C. | Commercial Jet vs Military Helicopter Over Potomac
Yes, many knowledgeable people have cited that as a possibility. It also seems likely that the helo crew were playing "a bit fast and loose" with the concept of visual separation, at least earlier in the sequence. The first time they claimed to be able to see the CRJ was when there was about 5-6 miles of separation between the aircraft. All of the expert commentary I have seen (from pilots, ATC, etc) says that there is no possibility that the helo pilots could have seen and identified the CRJ (i.e. distinguishing it from other aircraft) at that disatance at night. |

The news is reporting that an airport worker was arrested for using his work phone to record video of body recovery. I wonder if the video will make it here to DR.

I have. I travel up and down the eastern seabord for work so I am in both places fairly often (monthly). DC is a nightmare. Just as bad as New York, without the tall buildings. |

That did not show body recovery. The reason I asked for links was because I suspected this latest report was a confused duplicate of the incident we know about, which has been mentioned on this thread previously, but I thought it best to give the poster the opportunity to provide a link to back up their claim.

It makes sense for a person in a wheelchair or with only one arm or something to still be a great FAA ATC employee, will look into what Trump meant but he could have been on his usual exaggerating antics

My bad... I glanced at it and thought something else. After reading it again, I wasn't even close. Sorry. MENTAL NOTE: Two martini limit while posting!
