Well, my track record figuring out which team a batter comes from isn't perfect ... but on this occasion I'd be pretty confident.
Last photo... obviously hiding her bulge.

Re: WASHINGTON D.C. | Commercial Jet vs Military Helicopter Over Potomac

Whether or not DEI was involved in this case seems to matter very little. With all the near misses, aborted landings due to helis too close, and numerous pilot complaints, it seems we were just lucky this didn't happen earlier. Note this has been going on under both Democratic and Republican leadership over many administrations.

What I want to know, is why there are so many military brass using helicopters like they are Uber? I was there a few months ago and saw numerous heli's pass by me during lunch next to the river. I'd guess there are secure video conferencing solutions for our military that could eliminate the need for a chunk of those rides.

Re: WASHINGTON D.C. | Commercial Jet vs Military Helicopter Over Potomac

The hilarious thing about trump blaming dei is he is the one who started it in 2019.

Under Mr. Trump in April 2019, the F.A.A. announced a pilot program for 20 people with targeted disabilities to work in air traffic operations. This is where is began.

Meanwhile he axed a large portion of airtraffic controlers 8 days prior, which of course COULDNT be a contributing factor tor at all.

I don't know why, it's not visible because of the camo ...

Totally agree.

I think that is a valid question. I've been to DC a number of times and the high volume of fairly low-level helo traffic is a unique feature of the city.

The PAT mission flies routine transport missions of the type you mention, but is also responsible for emergency evacuations of leaders when the brown stuff hits the revolving thing. I think its acceptable to take higher risks when carrying out an emergency evacuation than it is for routine transport.

This reminds me of NASA's decision to stop using shuttles to launch satellites after one of the accidents (forgot whether it was Challenger or Columbia). The reason being you can launch a satellite on an unmanned rocket, it doesn't make sense to risk human life to do that. Keep the shuttle launches for missions you can't do any other way.

There is nothing new about this. We've had it right from the start via LiveATC.

Nah, it all goes back to obama in 2008. He spearheaded DEI. I got receipts.

On April 11, 2019 Trump's FAA launched the Aviation Development Program to hire and train just 20 PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED individuals as ATC workers. Not the 100k DEI recruitment order previously signed by Obama.

The small 20 person ADP program was primarily aimed at giving experienced vets who came home from war with missing appendages an opportunity to engage in the challenging and focused disciplines they acquired in military service to advance them to successful ATC's, although other civilians were welcome to apply.

If you read the targeted disabilities list provided at the time, there is absolutely no mention of sex, race, gender, mental impairment, or psychological issues.

You can see the qualifications in this image...

Re: WASHINGTON D.C. | Commercial Jet vs Military Helicopter Over Potomac

There's an incredible amount of helicopter traffic in New York City as well it's just not as obvious because it goes around Manhattan and the nature of the city with the tall buildings it's harder to see things. Washington is a much more spread out city with wide open vistas so you see the helicopters more.
