Sorry, disagree. The corpse featured in that photograph is bigger than many adult males I know. He may qualify fairly as a young man...but this 'just a child' shit is for the birds. I'm not assigning guilt or innocence to Zimmerman's actions. That's for a jury to decide, not me. But I am sick and fucking tired of people infantilizing a towering young adult who either picked or answered a fight with an armed man. This was no child. |

Zimmerman's scalp had serious lacerations. And several of them. In the back. Exactly where they'd be if his head was pounded into the ground as he attested.The photos have been posted before, on this site and on others. You saying he murdered this kid in cold blood, without provocation, with dozens of witnesses in earshot and mere yards away...and then BASHED HIS OWN SKULL IN in the space of a few seconds....and THEN cleaned up all of the blood from the ground, just to discredit the false evidence he himself created moments before, at personal peril? If not, then exactly what point are you trying to make with that statement? That Zimmerman wasn't sure precisely where his head had been bashed in, on a dark and raining night, after a head wound, a fistfight, and killing a young man for the first time in his life? That his head may have actually been bashed a few feet away instead? Even if so, what exactly does that speak to? Aside from a man muddling some short distance facts while experiencing obvious (and expected) PTSD? Sorry, Detective. I wouldn't be looking for rental space at 221B any time soon if I were you. |

I don't believe Zimmerman is guilty of murder.. He was definitely punched a few times, whether he started it I don't know, but I think manslaughter at worst.
