Charles Manson Crime Scene Pictures

Here are several crime scene pictures and documents, taken from the original police reports, relating to the murders committed by the Mason Family.

Sometime around October 12, 1969 Mason and some of his so called family were arrested on suspicion that they had vandalized a section of the Death Valley National Park.

While in custody, Susan Atkins, a member of the Mason Family, had openly discussed some of the murders the family had committed. Police picked up on this, eventually realizing they were dealing with suspects that may be involved in several unsolved homicides.

On January 25, 1971, Manson was convicted of first-degree murder. He was sentenced to death, but this was commuted to life in prison after California's Supreme Court invalidated all death sentences imposed before 1972.
