No Mesa policeman or police association, or police code of brothers or any of that will change the fact this was deemed second degree murder. Will he be convicted ? For justice sake, I hope they lock him away for as long as possible. He should never have access to weapons again.

My point is, real life is not Call of Duty. I don't care if it was 60 cops with weapons drawn. They responded to call of a man pointing a gun out a window. Whatever happened in between they observe a man who may or may not be armed and who was failing to comply with commands. We all know now there was no weapon on him. But did they know that at the time? Do you have any idea how many ways a small firearm can be hidden on someone even with loose clothing? 6 cops. If you were one of them would you be ok with those odds? Or maybe you'd allow a fellow officer to take a hit for you. You people who sit behind keyboards making judgements on those who run towards danger while others run away are a joke. That being said if it were in fact an execution by a trigger happy cop that is a different matter. Nobody here know for sure. I have been in similar situations. Its not fun. People who have not experienced it should not have a say in such policy.

But to be protected from wolves, not controlled. I am all for the 2nd Amendment which empowers the sheep to protect themselves. Why lethal force? This cop didn't just neutralise a threat with say a leg shot. He pumped the guy full of lead to make sure he was dead, then asked questions later.

His actions are indefensible, even by his colleagues words. They usually close ranks but even they said it was not justified, and no one else opened fire, just Mr You're Fucked.

A cop responded to a home invasion and was confronted with a parolee who had a girl in a headlock then turned his pistol on the cop who fired and accidentally hit the girl with the bullet that first went through the bad guy. Cop haters and libtards are screaming for murder charges. NOBODY knows what intentions a subject has and action beats reaction every time. We are not obligated to be moving targets sorry folks. No 2 shootings are exactly alike and cannot be judged by anyone who was not even friggin there!
