Re: Eric Garner Dies After NYPD Cop Puts Him in a Chokehold
And his "job" was selling cigarettes on the corner? He had a very defensive stance and being 400 pounds he could have done some damage. When the cop says stop, you stop. When the cop says drop, you drop or get dropped. Fuck him |

Simple, a person that size who is not following commands will go down. Police must maintain control/upper hand of the situation.

Re: Eric Garner Dies After NYPD Cop Puts Him in a Chokehold
OK...I agree with you...but a tiny part of me thinks you may not have been so quick to defend if the guy hadn't been Black. If I am wrong I will take that hit. I was in the Army and one thing we are taught in combat training is not to think twice. You are correct that they needed to subdue him to ensure the safety of everyone involved. But chokehold? I have yet to see that used on many people. Most vids have the police getting the person to the ground to cuff them...even using a taser. But choking someone out? Not so sure. |

Re: Eric Garner Dies After NYPD Cop Puts Him in a Chokehold
Anyone that suffers from asthma will tell you that it progresses. He could breathe because he felt the attack coming on. When it happens to me...that tightness in my throat and chest...I know to get to an inhaler fast or I may end up spending the rest of the day hooked up to oxygen being pumped full of steroids. Ugh.
