The Milperra Massacre, a violent confrontation between rival motorcycle gangs, occurred on September 2, 1984, in Milperra, a suburb of Sydney, Australia. This deadly shootout involved the Bandidos and the Comancheros motorcycle clubs and resulted in the deaths of seven people, including a bystander. The Milperra Massacre is one of the most notorious incidents in the history of Australian biker gang violence. The conflict occurred at the Viking Tavern in Milperra and was the culmination of escalating tensions between the two gangs. The shootout broke out during a motorcycle swap meet on Father's Day, resulting in a chaotic and bloody scene. Those killed included members of both motorcycle clubs and a 14-year-old girl, Leanne Walters, who was an innocent bystander. In addition to the deaths, the gun battle left several more people injured. The police quickly responded to the scene, and numerous gang members were arrested. The subsequent legal proceedings were extensive, leading to the conviction of 43 people for various charges, including murder, manslaughter, and affray.   |
