When you say “that person” are you referring to the dispatcher or the person that placed the call? If it’s the latter, why should they feel responsible? They did their duty reporting what they saw, it’s not their fault the dispatcher fucked up. And even if the dispatcher gave the right address it wouldn’t have made much of a difference since the cops would have showed up at the perp’s apartment which is the address that was given. He would’ve already been at the McDonald’s when they showed up. The only people that should feel any form of responsibility in this matter is the suspect’s wife who had foreknowledge he intended to hurt people yet did nothing, and the San Ysidro police department that stood outside the restaurant and let this maniac go on an uninterrupted murder spree for 77 fucking minutes until they lucked out and got a clear shot for the sniper. |
