Re: A Collage of World Trade Center Jumpers
No... if they are getting burnt up there and/or they're choking on smoke, there comes a point where you say to yourself "how much more can I cope with?" Faced with no prospects of immediate rescue, your choice is down to "Do I want to experience more pain or do I want the pain to stop?" It would take an awful lot to make men & women leave a safe building for certain death. Look how people prevaricate when bungee jumping. That step off is not natural and goes against every instinct in us for self-preservation. |
