A classmate of mine was working at that restaurant and was supposed to go pick up her check or somesuch that morning, but she got up late and by then the jets had already hit...lucky girl - proves that sleeping in can save your life!
Possibly inappropriate question, but I’m curious... did she still get paid?

I’ve heard a few similar stories and I’ve always wondered. Because the money is technically still in the account for that purpose right? If the company is incinerated along with most of the staff and owner/whatever, do the people who didn’t come in that day still get paychecks.

Not that you’d want it, but many might still need it. Probably even more than they did before.
