Good Samaritan laws protect those who try to help in traumatic situation such as this. It is true as pointed out by other members that additional injuries and loss of life occur because of improper handling and care of patients that are in such traumatic conditions.

Standard Treatment pretty much consist of:
Basic treatment of life threatening injuries.
Maintain airway with c-spine precautions
Control major bleeding
Treat for shock
Transport

As for the deceased its a fatal lesson that cannot be reversed and too bad it was at to cost of many others as well

I think it's terrible that no one is even talking to the ones that are still alive and just trying to calm them down. I survived a horrific car accident because of a drunk and the people who saw this accident came to try to comfort me until the ambulance came. They helped me alot. I hope we are NOT becoming a society of people who doesn't care about each other. This was horrific. i think this video should be shown to everyone, especially teenagers.
