The girl with the legs tucked under her was undergoing what's called agonal respirations. It's the body's last attempt to keep itself alive. There was no helping her. The guy on the ground just outside the car had a better chance. His head was up and looking around which meant brain function was still intact. In a triage scenario, he's the one I would go for first.

If you come across a scene like this, make sure 911 was called, then cover them with a blanket, but don't move them.

How do they know it was a text messaging related accident when the person posting the video claims to have no information about the video? O_o

Ok.. All you who are complaining about no one helping the injured..How the fuck would we have these videos/pics if they all were more interested in helping sooth the dying souls .. That is what i hate..People who say this shit but gawk at all the gore.. You should not complain if you like this stuff. I am more honest..I would hope everyone in the world will keep on taking pics/videos of dying/dead people so i can be entertained by it...Fuck I hate hypocrites

I myself would not take out my camera , I would try and help them an any way I could ..you put yourself in their shoes ... I would not want my last few moments to be spent with someone filming me while I'm dying..

Good Samaritan laws protect those who try to help in traumatic situation such as this. It is true as pointed out by other members that additional injuries and loss of life occur because of improper handling and care of patients that are in such traumatic conditions.

Standard Treatment pretty much consist of:
Basic treatment of life threatening injuries.
Maintain airway with c-spine precautions
Control major bleeding
Treat for shock
Transport

As for the deceased its a fatal lesson that cannot be reversed and too bad it was at to cost of many others as well

The one woman was still squirming, that one guy seemed to me slowly moving around. Seems like somebody could've been doing something for him.

We're all watching this and commenting, but if i were actually on the scene i think i would've done something... check for a pulse? Maybe cover up the ones that were dead. I'd like to think i wouldn't just stand there wandering around or pull out my camera.
