Interesting... My español is pretty weak but I think the Portuguese to Spanish translation in that news article is lacking, or Brazil has a different definition of "murder." When I used Google Translator it repeatedly used the term murdered, but using a different translation app it said "killed": "Un ex oficial de la Policía Federal asesinó a un joven que lo asaltó." A former Federal Police officer killed a young man who assaulted him. Perhaps, in foreign linguistics there's very little difference but in english it certainly has different connotations. Or, Google Translator is simply becoming a liberal woke psyop AI like Gemini... |
