Retired Federal Police Murdered A Young Man

The incident occurred in Avellaneda, where two thieves sought to steal the car of a retired Federal Police officer, who took out a 9 millimeter and began shooting. A retired Federal Police officer murdered this Tuesday a 20-year-old young man who had tried to steal his car along with an accomplice. The situation occurred in the Avellaneda district , province of Buenos Aires. Violent episode in Avellaneda between a retired officer and two assailants. The event occurred this Tuesday in the vicinity of Villa Argentina, Avellaneda district, on Arredondo street between Sarmiento and Anatole France. There, two young men jumped on the former police officer's car, pointing guns at him , according to the retired officer.

At that moment, the 55-year-old assailant took out his pistol, a 9-millimeter Taurus PT 92, and began shooting. One of the shots hit one of the two thieves in the head, while the other assailant managed to flee in the direction of Villa Argentina. Once the sequence was finished, which was recorded by private cameras, the former police officer put away the weapon and took his cell phone. Likewise, neighbors came to help. After an emergency call, SAME arrived at the scene, which confirmed the death of the young man identified as Franco Ariel Bordón, 20 years old, who had an entrance hole in the upper part of his skull. In addition , he had been admitted to the Avellaneda police stations for various criminal acts. For the moment, the case was classified as " attempted robbery and homicide " and was in charge of the Prosecutor's Office No. 1 of Avellaneda and the Police Station. 6th, in the hands of prosecutor María Alejandra Olmos Coronel.

Interesting... My español is pretty weak but I think the Portuguese to Spanish translation in that news article is lacking, or Brazil has a different definition of "murder."

When I used Google Translator it repeatedly used the term murdered, but using a different translation app it said "killed":


"Un ex oficial de la Policía Federal asesinó a un joven que lo asaltó."

A former Federal Police officer killed a young man who assaulted him.

Perhaps, in foreign linguistics there's very little difference but in english it certainly has different connotations. Or, Google Translator is simply becoming a liberal woke psyop AI like Gemini...
