After a convoy of Sicarios arrived at a ranch in La Concordia where they confronted other Sicarios and burned the ranch, another group of Sicarios decided to attack the elements of the National Guard in the maneuver yard and drop-off area of ​​the construction site of the bridge that connects the border area with the center of the state.

Innocent civilians covering themselves from bullets with trucks and work vehicles, while elements of the National Guard head on foot to the confrontation to reduce the sicarios.

As a result of the confrontation, unofficially and according to witnesses, 20 sicarios were killed and an innocent civilian died, there were also fires in the maneuvering yard due to the fuel used in construction.

One of the women who was in the area explained that the place of the confrontation is the one used to reach the “chalanes” or platforms used by the population to cross the La Angostura dam and communicate between the municipalities of La Concordia with Chicomuselo and Comalapa Border.
