I rapidly lost a lot of blood once, and took about one and a half steps before hitting the floor and passing out. I barely had time to call out to my partner so he could call for help. I'm amazed that he got up at all, and then skated away from it.

Ice hockey fan here. I know many think it was on purpose, or negligent, I think the throat kick was accidental. We've seen throats cut before, but not fatal. I feel bad for him, I think he knew it was really bad immediately, but he goes in closer to see. Also the fact AJ was up and skating that long afterwards is incredible. What a terrible thing to happen. But with dual sets of blades flying around all crazy, accidents are inevitable.

Was at the game, kids near me were crying and people throwing up. I’ve a pretty strong stomach thanks to lurking in here but seeing that much blood come out of a guy who is still (somehow) able to get up and move is messed up. Game atmosphere for fans here in the UK is normally super friendly, great day out for families, rivalries aside, so it’s awful to have something like this happen.

I’m in a mixed mind about M.P. He’s an aggressive defender and problematic at times, but I’m sure he’s gonna be fucked up in the head after all this, hopefully he gets some support, whatever the outcome of the current police investigation is.

Also, in the late 80s i remember a Pro guy in the NHL having his throat cut... luckily he lived tho.
