Such a weird accident. No matter how many times a replay it I just don't see how he could have ended up with his blade toward AJ's throat. Makes no fucking sense.

I'm hockey illiterate, so this is a genuine question, but what was the guy that collided with him trying to do? It almost looks like an intentional kick. I don't think he was trying to injure him, but wtf was he going for there?
So the player hit his teammate at an angle and it knocked him into the air with some spin. Centripetal force cause his leg to swing fast and harder through the air than he can prevent and he connects with his neck. Freak accident

I'm not seeing spin or force you mention. The guy lifts his leg and and skate towards AJ for no reason I see. Even if he was off balance, it looks reckless at best, intentional at worst. Intentional as in he intended to hit AJ with his leg in a subtle kinda cheater move to throw off his advance on the goal, but probably hopefully wasnt intending to injure/kill. I'd need more footage to really tell, but from this video, I feel jackass who swung his skate up like that deserves repercussions of some kind wild man! that shit went deep too, he prolly couldnt have pulled off that kill even if he was intentionally trying too, so i dont believe he ment to kill.

Are you also blind? Nothing about that looked intentional. The guy who did the cutting was going to hit another dude with some speed and lost balance causing the skate to come up where it did.

Almost seems like the force of crashing off one another sent him off kilter & the poor guy who got slashed was a case of “wrong place, wrong time”… dude handled it like a champ, that’s a LOT of blood to even get up from losing. RIP.
