I feel compelled at times to voice that perception is not always reality. Sometimes it lands, sometimes it does not, as you well know.

Yeah that must have been a traumatic ride; once the tires catch your pants you probably end up walking with a cane or get a prosthetic leg. You can see from the video the women pretty really hyped up.

Even though she turned the wheel she must have known she might hit him.. (I don’t subscribe to the negative stereotypes that women can’t)

But still imo, his reaction is way over the top. she didn't impose an immediate threat of death or serious bodily injury as she was steering away from the cop with the intent to get away and the cop was bumped into. Split second decision plus that cop's trauma from last year topped the cake.

She was partially blocking the street so ICE patrol could have go around it imo like the other vehicle did. Actually she was waving go on, you can pass. I don't think it was her intent to bump into him for harm. Unfortunately for her she was in a car which is classified as a deadly weapon.

Just saw the bodycam footage. ICE was right in front of the driver and she was staring at him as she tried to flee. It doesn't help the case that her wife was screaming Drive baby Drive as she was gunning it.

It was not bodycam footage. It is cellphone footage. He was holding a cell phone with one hand and firing with the other, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Why he was not wearing a bodycam and instead was recording on his cellphone is beyond me but I'm just a dipshit leftist.

At the end of the day the officer created and escalated the dangerous situation, and such officer-induced risk doesn't permit the use of deadly force. It's expected to try all other maneuvers first like stepping aside to avoid being hit, and he didn't seem to do it. So yeah you can get rammed if you position yourself like that too close to the car. The woman was free to leave.
