A good number of Minnesota citizens and officials on local and state levels are pissed as hell about this. Many of them view it as cold-blooded murder.

Trump will absolutely shield his Gestapo from Federal charges. But he cannot do a single fucking thing under the sun to shield him from State, County, or Municipal charges that may be filed.

1890's Neagle would have protected him very handily prior to last year. But in 2025 the conservative-stacked SCOTUS handed down Martin v. United States, which poked Neagle full of holes and ruled that it absolutely does NOT assure unlimited protections for Federal agents that are determined to have violated State or local laws.

It certainly would not be a slam dunk, especially if they wind up kicking it to the Appellate 8th Circuit, but for a high publicity case of a Trump Gestapo murdering an unarmed mother of three who was just sitting in her car before they rushed her?

They'll run that string.

So I don't really care if you were asking me or not. I am TELLING you that there is an avenue for prosecution if they want to pursue it. And its chances, while not excellent, are still well above zero. This is a Blue city in a Blue state with a frequent supermajority and a history in the public eye of putting the pinch on cops that murder civilians and cry "Legal use of force! Legal use of force!" all the way to their jail cell. The Minnesota government, broadly speaking, HATE ICE. And Minneapolis REALLY hates them.

Genuine question, when does interfering with federal agents ever go right? She knew why she was there and she knew who she was going to hassle, unconstitutional or not why ICE is there she knew what she was doing, when ordered by a federal agent after interfering with their work, you comply. Constitutionality is determined in the court, not on the street.

In regards to the number of times that shots were fired, I agree with the folks that say that only the first shot could potentially qualify as an appropriate response to what the shooter may have reasonably perceived as an imminent threat, and that the 2-3 extra shots were unnecessary. I agree full stop that the extra shots, especially from the side angle, were completely excessive.

That being said, the following psychophysiological mechanics are often very much in play under these high-stakes, high-adrenaline split-second circumstances: (1) motor inhibition much slower than motor execution, (2) trigger pulls tend to be committed in short bursts rather than 1 shot at a time, (3) lag between one’s perception realizing that the threat is gone and the body stopping what it’s doing, (4) one’s flooded nervous system causing tunnel vision and time distortion, etc.

During firearms training, I had instructors who were intentionally stressing me out with strobe lights and yelling profanities into my ear. I must admit I found it really hard not to fire a few extra shots than necessary, every single time

I think you need to fire some extra shots. Once the decision is made to pull the trigger you should absolutely have the intent to kill the perpetrator.

I am not saying the woman deserved to be shot, I’m am purely talking objectively about split second decisions which can get yourself or your partners killed if you don’t act.

Word of advice to any left leaning or antifa person; you HAVE to comply. Don’t let anyone fool you that federal agents have no jurisdiction; these are lies trying to get you killed in order to fuel their agenda. They don’t care about you dying. I do.
