I have one and since we have no children it's right next to my bed AND it's pink... I have it because I wanted it... I have several other firearms as well... WHY I have them is no ones business but my own but I'll tell DR why... I have it for the nights when my husband is on call @ the firehouse... So...if my pit bull can't stop someone? My AK 47 will...
Technically that's an AR15 clone in the picture, unless it's an actual Armalite. I got one, too. Nothing wrong with owning a rifle. Hard to beat for close quarters combat.
