It was an m1 carbine not an "ak47"  there is a better quality video than this. Look it up on YouTube. If you ban a specific type of firearm, wouldn't any semi-automatic rifle that shoots the same bullets , can be as effective as an ak47? To liberals, there is not such thing as logic.  The democraps politicians are hypocrites, I protect my family with what ever is legal I can get ,but they want to ban any thing that you use to protect you and your family. While they have armed security guards 24/7 ,and unlimited conceal carry permits ,and we have nothing. Wake up people someday this world can turn to shit. Evil can never disappear. It is inevitable.

Not sure why some DR vids have a bigger emotional payload than others. This one got me, for sure. The kamikaze-like, crazed indifference of Brannan, the utter unresourcefulness of Dinkheller in the face of such a lethal enemy. The way Brannan shot the cop in the eye, elevating himself to judge, jury and executioner within seconds, the agony of a lawman, dying completely alone as his lungs get flushed by blood. Especially jarring is the fact that we saw, from the camera's viewfinder, what the police was probably looking at. His death was contextualized, which makes our empathy for him in these last few horrible moments even more personal. I was glad to read that this encounter gone seriously bad was used in police academies for training purposes. Let Dinkheller's death not have been in vain. If Brannan was indeed a veteran suffering from PTSD (didn't read the court documents) then the terrible mental anguish which he's had to cope is also a tragedy. Obviously though, nothing excuses what he did.

I have one and since we have no children it's right next to my bed AND it's pink... I have it because I wanted it... I have several other firearms as well... WHY I have them is no ones business but my own but I'll tell DR why... I have it for the nights when my husband is on call @ the firehouse... So...if my pit bull can't stop someone? My AK 47 will...
