Re: CJNG Member Executes Rival with Flamethrower
Sure, but we see videos all the time of people more or less engulfed in flames conscious and making horrible noises for disturbingly long periods of time. This guy didn't make a peep after about 4-5 seconds. Either he decided to stop making noises, or that just goes to show that this was a level of pure heat/etc that is levels above even the gasoline dousing. |

Re: CJNG Member Executes Rival with Flamethrower
Geez, is it freaking raining? The only thing I can think of that's worse than being set on fire alive, is being set on fire alive while it's raining so that it will probably put out enough Flames that I won't die, but not enough to keep me from suffering. Better to take off, nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure. |

Re: CJNG Member Executes Rival with Flamethrower
Why wasn't he moving at all? His feet stood exactly in place the entire time. Seems suspect to me

Re: CJNG Member Executes Rival with Flamethrower
There is another recent video where the victim suddenly stops screaming and moving 13 seconds after being set on fire. In that video he screams three times while rolling around on the ground, then suddenly sits upright and remains quiet and motionless for the duration of the video. This video, shows very similar results. He makes sound for a total of 7 seconds, then nothing. There are several plausible explanations for both victims: Physiological shutdown Both victims are exposed to extreme heat within seconds, which can overwhelm the cardiovascular and nervous systems. A sudden drop in blood pressure, shock, and loss of oxygen can cause rapid loss of consciousness. Once unconscious, the body can remain upright or rigid, especially if the person is tied or braced against something. This explains why one victim suddenly sits up and stays frozen, and why the other remains still while tied to the tree. Airway or vocal cord damage Intense heat can burn the airway and vocal cords almost immediately. When superheated air enters the mouth or nose, the ability to scream can disappear within seconds. This matches both videos, since each man vocalizes only briefly before becoming silent despite the continued presence of flames. Neurogenic shock and pain overload Extremely intense pain can overwhelm the nervous system and cause a shutdown. When this happens, the body stops reacting, stops vocalizing, and may shift into a fixed or blank posture. This can look like someone suddenly going quiet or still even though the fire continues. Both victims show abrupt transitions from vocal responses to total unresponsiveness, which is consistent with neurogenic shock. Oxygen deprivation near the flames Fire consumes oxygen very quickly, especially when flames are close to the face and upper body. As oxygen levels drop, a person can become dizzy, disoriented, or unconscious within seconds. This provides a realistic explanation for why both victims stop responding almost instantly, since neither is able to move away from the flames or inhale clean air. Severe nerve damage High heat can destroy nerve endings rapidly. Once the nerves responsible for pain and movement are compromised, the body can no longer produce screams or movements, even though the heart may continue beating for a short period of time. This type of nerve destruction can occur very quickly with intense flames, a torch, or accelerants, and it aligns with what happens in both videos. Involuntary posturing After a person loses consciousness, the body can assume a rigid or fixed posture for a short period of time. If the body is supported by restraints, a tree, or the ground, it can appear upright or unnaturally still. This explains the seated position of the first victim after he stops reacting and the complete stillness of the second victim while tied to the tree.
