ROYAL, being an active serving member of the military, these photos really bring up some strong emotions for me. i have lost friends, more like brothers, for what? i personally have seen people at their best, and at their worst. But i feel that the media only shows one side, and pictures like this help to bring the scale of battle a little closer to home, and make people realize the real cost of this war. thanks for showing the other side. we have talked privately, and we both know that we are not different from each other in most ways. somewhere in those conversations i found a respect and understanding for you that seems to be lacking from most everyone. war is real, on both sides, and these pictures show a side that is rarely seen. all any deployed military member wants is to get back to their family. nothing else. there are no "winners" in war. just those who give their lives, and those who's lives are changed forever. |

The KKK are an american christian terrorist organisation. They murdered people just because of the color of there skin, they now claim to be non violent but thats against the point. Does that mean that these actions of a few speak for an entire religion? No so why does Al-Qaeda speak for all of Islam?? You guys (Americans) are just ignorant hypocrites... |

okay i agree but let me ask this if the lumps dont matter how come america and other european countries with democracy and christian values at least at the start are super power in the world and many of those muslim countries are barbaric backwaters still living in the dirt and killing each other daily? i know i am ignorant and i am trying to make my point here so just bear with me ppl are constantly saying the small ones dont speak for the larger groups yet i dont see iran or iraq or palestine or afghanistan moving out of the fricken 14th century so reality is the religion does hold the country back cuz when you keep 50% of your population stupid and hidden away how can you progress? okay sorry if i said this stupidly |

Some people allow their neighbors to be victims. Others try to protect them. Some stereotype all in a group based on a few. Some handpick only certain info and ignore other info to support their claims. Ignorance is everywhere and it's futile to try logic with someone in an emotional state.

Most of you have never killed before and have no idea what war is like. War is not like the movies, there is nothing honourable about war. Vietnam and Iraq were not wars, they were police actions. There is a huge difference between the two. Police actions have rules which must be followed, wars have no rules other than kill or be killed. Police actions obtain victory once all objectives have been achieved. Wars are won when all the enemy are dead and there is no one left to object to the tactics used. I'm going to cop flack for saying that but i don't care, the opinions of people that have not been there and done it mean nothing to me.
