I know there is a chance things got moved but I always wonder what they stepped off of or if they just pulled themselves up and into the noose

35 year old legislative candidate from the Gerindra Party was found having hung herself in her home this week. She was discovered by her son and husband when they returned from an outing.

The family has requested a full autopsy to confirm the cause and manner of death, but the police inspector commented and stated that all evidence points to a hanging, to whit:

The ligature mark on her neck matches perfectly with the nylon rope, her tongue protrudes past her lips, there are no unexplained signs of violence on her body, and her pants were soaked with urine, which coordinated spatially to a puddle on the floor beneath her.

The noose and her soiled pants were taken into evidence and her body was sent for autopsy, results still pending.

I have read about two dozen articles on this suicide and not a single one of them mentions that she was pregnant. She was a young mother with a child, but no mention of pregnancy in any of the reports. Where did you get this information?

I have referenced multiple police and DSI reports as well as statements from the family. As with most Indonesian cases, these were very detailed.
1. She left a 'suicide note' on WhatsApp
2. She put pillows on top of a paint bucket and stood on it to hang.
3. She used the rope from a baby swing for her extant child as a noose.
4. The noose matched the ligature mark.
5. Her tongue was swollen and protruding slightly
6. Her underpants were dirty with both urine and feces.
7. Her husband had to break the locked door down to get to her.
8. Her mother had a panic attack when she saw the body.

But not a single remark anywhere in any report about pregnancy.

Young woman in Indonesia hung herself using a scarf and standing on a small step-stool.

Edit: Additional details after the publication of some police statements and translation of news programs.

1. She left a note explaining that her decision to kill herself was based on her boyfriend leaving her.
2. Police checked her WhatApp records on her phone and confirmed that there had been an argument and separation between them earlier in the day.
3. Her parents discovered her hanging on the first floor when they returned home and rushed her to a clinic located about a block away, but she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Suicide by hanging was the determined ruling due to the note and various physical aspects of the scene and corpse. According to the report, her face was purple, her tongue slightly bitten, a wide ligature mark matching the scarf was present on her neck, and she had urinated and defecated in her shorts. It additionally mentioned that urine was found on the floor beneath the noose.

Most of these artifacts can be clearly seen in the postmortem image, but the Indonesian police can always be relied upon to give very detailed scene/cadaver reports to the newspapers.

That first one is is interesting, Ved'. One hand + arm are tense + the other one is completely relaxed.

Yeah, I assume it has sommet to do with the way her arm is resting against the partition. Not sure. Details on it were fairly sketchy in terms of crime scene. Pity about the facial censoring; I'd have been keen to see whether her face was tense or relaxed. And if she kept her glasses on for her suicide. It doesn't look like she did (most don't), but hard to discern. Etsu thinks the second girl (the cut down one) has glasses on herself, but I think it's just the way her eyebrows are lining the censor blur. fucking LQ images...

I did happen to run down some antemortems since I posted, however.

Of the first girl anyway, not the second.

A bit of info on her:

20 year old G.D.L.T. hanged herself in her room on the night of 21st February 2019 in San Pedro Sula.

Apparently, she had "economic problems + had a certain time without employment". She had told those close to her, on several occasions, that she had thought about ending her own life. When family/friends hadn't heard from her for hours, they went to find her + found her dead.
