What's her Name?

Fresh from Thailand, 38 years old.

Usual problem with translation, which specifies neither hang, rope, string or anything like it nor anything else that could be interpreted in another direction. She looks like a typical "sitting" hanger though, and on the close up image there is a light grey structure looking like a string behind her head. The other image is to unsharp to confirm, but I'm convinced enough to post her here.

i would think there is only 2 plausible explanations
1) she was testing how it would feel, by using her hands as some sort of cushion for her neck instead of having the rope cut into it
2) she jumped off the chair and then felt how much it hurt and was going to try a less painful/more efficient way (like the syrian girl did)

if anyone gets to that position and has second thoughts, it will be for how to do the job more efficiently, not to abandon the job entirely
getting to the position of putting a rope around your neck and jumping off a chair, is pretty much an unbreakable commitment - there is no turning back; pretty much no one takes their own life at the drop of a hat. there is a lot of thought and planning that goes into it

of course they do
would you admit to something that would not only cause your loved ones much more worry or one where you would be given a stigma for life

plus of course, there would be a bigger chance of the survivor being considered welcome in an institution if people knew you had suicidal tendencies

Please stay on topic. Talk about the photos, the methods, or the specific reports corresponding to each case. You want to discuss the minds of suicide 'victims' in general, go do it in Medical or the WC. This is a forum for posting gore/death images and discussing those images, not endless speculation about the effects of suicidal ideation on family members. This thread, in particular, is especially large and doesn't need the added weight of endless rumination on motives of non-specific cases. Mods already spend far too much time trying to pare out pages of idle chatter from this thread just to make it feasible for users to go through the photos.
