A (foreign language) video clip is going around that shows a talk-show host interviewing a man and a woman. When the man starts speaking, the interviewer cracks up. The more the man speaks, the more the interviewer laughs. It's a funny video, because the guy's laughter is highly contagious. But was this a real interview? No. The clip comes from a Belgian comedy TV series called In De Gloria. Apparently the faux interview is about medical mishaps. The woman is paralyzed because of a surgical error, and the man's voice was altered by a throat operation that went bad.

A shortened version of the "Boemerang" sketch from the show gained popularity on YouTube. It features a presenter of a serious talk show breaking into fits of giggles after hearing the voice of one of his guests, who spoke in a squeaky manner due to a failed tonsillectomy. The clip is often mistaken for being real, and was showcased on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno[1] and Star Channel news as being so.

The fictitious laughing presenter "Erik Hartman" is a character played by Tom Van Dyck, a Flemish comedian and actor. The two guests are portrayed by Lucas Van Den Eynde (as Valère) and An Miller (as Marijke). The full version of the sketch shows the Hartman character as a radio DJ looking back upon the giggling incident that had caused him to be fired.

It's a fake. That's a given, but even if it were real, I highly doubt it would have aired "live". All those kind of Talk-Shows are prerecorded and aired later. There is NO WAY any network would allow that kind of shit to be aired. Sadly, with the end of "Live TV" came the end of catching some pretty funny shit. Now it all has to be faked.
