Re: The Negligent Homicide of Lacey Fletcher
If she'd really been there for 12 years, we have no way of knowing how it all started. For all we know, she might have been physically restrained until she became too emaciated to move. I've known and heard of some pretty gross cases involving serious mental illness, but this girl would have been in so much pain there's no way she wouldn't have moved if she could. |

Re: The Negligent Homicide of Lacey Fletcher
That makes sense, were there any restrain marks found? Would be interesting to find out! Such a sad sad situation I can't imagine the pain mentally, physically an emotionally she must have been in bless her |

Re: The Negligent Homicide of Lacey Fletcher
I read in an article that she was born with a condition called Locked in Syndrome, and had restricted her body of movement until she had no mobility at all. It’s also stated that she had not been to see a doctor in nearly 20 years. Despite the lack of mobility, doctors estimated that she would have felt everything. She would have been in excruciating pain from the bed sores, and lack of physical therapy to keep her oxygen flowing properly. I read the article and came straight to DR to see if there was more on the story. Looks like I’ll be going down a rabbit hole to see what I can find. Her parents are horrible. They could have found a way to get her better care, even if it meant making her a ward of the state. She would have been better off. I can’t imagine 24 hours in the same position on a sofa with no way of relieving myself, let alone being completely immobile on one for 12+ years! |

Re: The Negligent Homicide of Lacey Fletcher
Heartbreaking and insane As vile as it sounds, I think death was ultimately the most merciful thing that could have happened to her. She had been suffering for far too long and her parents were of no help at all. Those ridiculously inhumane bastards |

Dr. Ewell Bickham, the coroner who examined Lacey Fletcher after her body was found "melted" into a sofa, joins NewsNation's "Banfield" exclusively to discuss details from the scene. the vid has a blurred photo with the corpse in place |
