Re: TEXAS | Catastrophic Floods Cause Deaths at Children's Camp
Footage from HTR Campground posted from camper Amanda Sue Jones. They were primitive camping along the Guadalupe river in a tent close to the HTC campsite. They were one of the first and lucky ones to get to higher ground as they noticed water approaching their tent. She has had multiple interviews recalling the events with her and her boys.

Re: TEXAS | Catastrophic Floods Cause Deaths at Children's Camp
"Talking disaster risk concepts" is not a national secret; both the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) make extensive disaster risk data publicly available. These agencies provide data to the public to support awareness, preparedness, and economic development. Publicly available resources include: NOAA Open Data Dissemination Program: Provides access to vast environmental datasets via public-private partnerships. Billion-Dollar Disaster Risk Mapping Tool: An interactive map from NOAA providing county- and census-tract-level risk information for various weather and climate hazards. USACE Open Data and National Levee Database: USACE offers a wide variety of free data sets, including the public National Levee Database which helps users determine if they live behind a levee. FEMA National Risk Index: Developed with data from NOAA and other sources, this online tool illustrates which U.S. communities are most at risk from 18 different natural hazards. While some jurisdiction-specific internal preparedness review data may be marked For Official Use Only (FOUO), general disaster risk concepts and hazard data are transparent and accessible to the public. |

Re: TEXAS | Catastrophic Floods Cause Deaths at Children's Camp
[QUOTE=v1r;8525094]easiest would be to longpress the image and save it, then upload it to your post here.QUOTE] Sorry! I know this is from a year ago, but I can’t upload photos from my phone either. I’ve tried your suggestion but the photo just doesn’t copy to my post. Is it just not possible from a phone? Or, am I missing something? Is the “drag files here” method (as shown below) just for a computer and not from a phone? Thanks for any pointers you can give. I’m missing something but what? |
