Re: Trayvon Martin Crime Scene Photos
Yes you are correct. Which is why I don't trust these morons either. I said the media, not the liberal media or conservative media. You are also correct that it goes both ways, MSNBC had been championing Treyvon Martin since day one.

Re: Trayvon Martin Crime Scene Photos
Obama pissed off the black community just recently after chastising black men to take responsibility and quit having babies they have no desire or intention to raise, out of wedlock only to disappear as the mothers are due to give birth. I was surpised/impressed to hear him address those issues so publicly, no previous president could possibly get away with that (for obvious reasons). It's a big step in the right direction. Racism is a cancer that needs to die, but without honest communication and interaction between all fellow citizens we really are relegated to our stereotypes. Being shamed into silence by our own 'white-guilt' helps no one. That's something seen more and more lately; People are ashamed to be white |

Re: Trayvon Martin Crime Scene Photos
I made no reference to entitlement programs, look at the data there is an enormous gap in median wealth between white and black in the united states and it is growing, I never said there weren't successful black people... Civil rights and economic disparity are different things, so while we have made progress in equality as people, by no means do economic advantages reflect that equality. You realize your implying that its been some sort of inherent black issue which has concentrated the majority of them in urban areas and the eastern south with a larger per capita rate of poverty than whites, rather than acknowledging that 3 hundred years of racial discrimination possibly had something to do with it? Its not an issue of reparations or blaming whites, its the history of the system which has certainly given WASPs one hell of a head start. No one is specifically at blame but its hard to say that the game wasnt rigged. I was thinking more like reading "The Wealth and Poverty of Nations" or "The Price of Inequality."

Re: Trayvon Martin Crime Scene Photos
Let me clarify something, I think it would be foolhardy at best and downright ignorant at worst to think the treatment of blacks by whites, especially during the post civil war Jim Crow era, had nothing to do with setting a poor socioeconomic foundation for the black community. Obviously if this were not the case, then what other historical events could possibly explain why the black community are having these problems to begin with? In other words, what else could have started the mess you described above? I have to kindly disagree however that civil rights and economic disparity are independent from each other. The civil rights reforms legally gave the black community the opportunities to move up the socioeconomic scale. How effectual these reforms are when weighted with the attitudes of people in both communities is probably a much different story. Whether or not we agree with this is one thing, but certainly I think we can agree that whatever measures are being utilized to correct this discrepancy today are failing miserably. |

It has come over tried to bite us and her family before so animal control was called. He got home as animal control came up and he came t my GF and her mom asking who called cause they were going to have something to deal with and advanced on my gf and her mom. Just a young black kid thinking he was the shit and a "gangsta". When that .357 was displayed shit calmed down.

Re: Trayvon Martin Crime Scene Photos
I dont think its so much racism than it is social commentary and actually true social commentary. What i mean is that the black community as a whole seems to honestly support this thug mentality and violence and they reward it especially if its directed towards whites. And that is bull shit and more needs to be done to bring this kind of unjustice to the forefront.
