To answer your first question, George Zimmerman is 1/2 Hispanic and 1/2 White. To your second question, the media is portraying this as a White on Black hate crime because that drums up ratings and they make more money. Certain channels even doctored Zimmerman's photos to make him look more White. |

Therefore, knowing the media is incapable of lying in order to paint a false picture that racism is still everywhere in 2012's America, except for all the raced based affirmative action hires of course. I have not been following this case at all and I know even less about the laws in Florida. My question is how easy is it to obtain firearms licenses in the states? Does Zimmerman have a criminal background? Zimmerman would have never be appointed community watch/security in Canada let alone be allowed to carry a gun. |

The laws that Florida have are what makes this case interesting. Florida has what are called "Stand Your Ground" laws which basically say that when someone attacks you, you may use lethal force to protect yourself. Many other states have a "duty to retreat" law which means that you may only use lethal force if you have already tried to retreat from the confrontation and could not. The prosecution is basically trying to prove that Zimmerman started the fight, while the defense is trying to prove that Trayvon started the fight. If Trayvon attacked Zimmerman, then he would be not guilty under the "Stand Your Ground" laws. If this had happened in my state, (Minnesota) Zimmerman would have been found guilty of murder. Minnesota only allows lethal force when someone is truly threatening your life, which can be hard to prove unless you can show that they had a weapon too. |

Thugvon should have been shot dead. His parents should be in jail and also sued for the rest of their lives. They created this predatory Ghetto Thug Monster. They allowed their known violent criminal Ghetto Thug Monster to prowl the streets and prey on innocent citizens. There are millions of Trayvon Martins and if they, and their Ghetto Trash parents were all off the planet tomorrow, the world would be far far far better off. |
