Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
You think it's the blood splatter like on the Lobby windows in the Plaza? Looks a little too dark, too thick and too concentrated to be blood splatters if that's what you meant. ![]() Especially since the misting attribute of the Jumpers would mean that there would be a pile of bodies under that particular section of windows. Granted, a lot of Jumpers fell infront and around the Marriot but I just think those are reflections of something on the windows. That red spot is absent in videos of the Marriot as well. |

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
I could be wrong, I have been before. I think the reason it is absent in the videos is because it is still dissperesing as a mist when the picture is being taken. I don't think it is blood on the windows, but it kind of looks like blood coming out of two people at once. I saw several people jump at the same time, and a couple actually held hands when they did. They would have accelerated at the same pace and hit simultaniously. Some might say it is impossible for them to make it that far, but it wasn't. One jumper made it as far as the Southbound lane of the Westside Highway. One that jumped from the South Tower landed in the parking lot fairly close to the little church. You even had a picture up of what was left of him. |

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
This is a jumper, and the little church was a good ways away from the South Tower. Not sure exactly how far, but 1,200 feet up, you can gain some forward momentum as you drop. I think some fell out because of smoke blinding them, which is understandable. The ones that made a conscience effort to jump sometimes fell close, but then again some arched out away from the towers. I'll see if I can find a the video of the one that made it out to the Southbound lane of the Westside Highway, you will get a better idea of what I mean. |

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
I had a friend argue with me that in the Naudett's 9/11 film, EMTs were coming in the lobby of the North Tower with a gurney that had the remains of a jumper on it. It took a while to convince him of what it really was, but I finally did. He had watched a low quality version of the 9/11 film on youtube. That was my first clue right there. I watched it and told him I hated to disapoint him that it was not a jumper. He said for me to prove it, and I did. I asked him first of all, " Why the hell would they be bringing in a gurney with part of a dead person on it ? Don't they reserve those for people that are alive and intact ? " He said coroners and such have them too, and that everything was happening so fast that they may have moved the body to get it out of the way. I told him, " Nope, they were not worried as much for people who were dead as they were the people still alive and could be helped. " He kind of started to see the reasoning after I said that. I could see he was still a bit skeptical, so I finished driving the nail in the coffin, and there was no doubt after that. It is emergency equipment. |

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
Now look: We all know WTC was built in an indian burial ground, that's why it collapsed. (there was some assistance from the Mole People too, but it was mostly done by indian ghosts) seriously, take some Seroquel - i think you need it. Some nice new photos in this thread. Yay! |

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
Hey Bill. Just wanted your opinion. I was in a News section of a forum and there was a thread about how this ad is being put on the spot because it was erected in New York City and people are complaining about it. I, myself, obviously see what they mean and I think it's insensitive or bad taste. What do you think? Almost everyone in the thread however is saying "it's been fucking 10 years get the fuck over it and grow up not everything is about 9-11" And those statements to me are kind of baffling but what do you, someone who was there that day and saw terrible things think of this? |

Re: A REAL World Trade Center Jumper
Honestly ? I think they should leave it up. Not to be a smartass, or to offend people though. I think they should leave it up so people have to contend with it. For the most part, the people that jumped or fell have been considered a freakish sideshow in a horrible event, and swept under the rug, or forgotten about altogether. It has been in just the last few years that this subject has been talked about openly and not been considered taboo. I read on one website a few years ago left by some dumbass. They said the people in the towers should have been charged with attempted murder, even though they were killed. They said the people were selfish assholes, and deserved to have charges against their surviving family members. Then at the end, they said they put people's lives in danger just because they did not want to die in a fire. I told that fucker a few things, and none of them were pleasant. You get a fire under your ass and the only way to escape is certain death from 1,200 feet up, unless you are very dedicated or made of steel, you are going out that window. Even if you were made of steel, the fire would have gotten the better of you anyway, just like it did the towers. For anyone that doubts this, try this little test. Make a circle on the ground about 10 feet around, then sit an old couch on it's end in the middle of the circle. Make another circle two feet wider than the other one all the way around it. Have someone light it ablaze, and see if you can stand in the two foot space circling the couch. You will not stay there for long. It is easy to step out of the circle because there are no real dangers doing it. Do the same thing 1,200 feet in the air, and you will still get away from those flames, no matter if it kills you. Some people do not seem to understand this concept for some reason, though I can not figure out why. The poor people did not commit suicide, they were going to die either way and they knew it, they took the fastest way to get there, and nobody in their right mind would blame them either. For those reasons, I think they should leave it up, the so called "jumpers" need to be dealt with, and as of yet, very few people have confronted this problem head on. They should not have died in the first place, but since they did, we should not let it be in vain, we should confront the problem, and better our buildings as well as ourselves. |
