The Boeing 727 PSA 182 jet was about 3 or 4 minutes from landing at San Diego airport when they overran the Cessna 172.

It was the fault of the PSA jet in this accident.

Whoopi Goldberg witnessed the accident and it freaked her out on flying on planes.

Actually, it only took 14 seconds from the point of collision to when they hit the ground. I remember those photos from the covers of all the newspapers. I was only 8 at the time but it pretty much started my fascination with all of this stuff.
