We can all be armchair quarterbacks at times like this or when the reverse happens. This is exactly why in those other situations police react like they do, they want to go home to their loved ones. The media tends to paint those who have been shot recently as choirboys, but the true of the matter is that they are anything but if one does some digging. Most of these officers do their jobs to protect and serve. It was heartbreaking for me to see this officer end his day in a body bag. Godspeed, good sir!

Apparently HS tells state troopers to stop a vehicle like this often.
They also don’t tell the officers anything else than to stop them and search the vehicle to confirm their suspicions(cartel etc)
In case the officer doesn’t find anything the suspect won’t be tipped that homeland is watching that’s why the poor guy got killed

The widow is filing a lawsuit and I hope she wins it. Federal agents showed up in combat gear just minutes after the shooting knowing the suspect had drugs and a weapon in his truck.

I guarantee if the officer knew what he was dealing with, he would have never left the car until backup arrived.

Agree! As I'm typing this the media is trying to fire up the public about the 13 y/o kid shot by the police in Chicago. Cops called to a "shots fired" scene at 2:30 am. Kid ran, turned to face officer, gun in hand and got shot. What I'm watching on TV doesn't mention ANY of the facts (I found elsewhere in the news) ZERO mention of ignoring police commands and turned to officer gun in hand. Making him sound like an innocent child "tragically gunned down". fuck they media. They are PRAYING this results in riots as that garners MORE ATTENTION TO THE MEDIA.

I watched the video frame by frame using VLC, the kid has no gun in his hands when he's shot.

That officer made a lot of mistakes.. tried to be too friendly does not work with a hardened felon.
