Agree! As I'm typing this the media is trying to fire up the public about the 13 y/o kid shot by the police in Chicago. Cops called to a "shots fired" scene at 2:30 am. Kid ran, turned to face officer, gun in hand and got shot. What I'm watching on TV doesn't mention ANY of the facts (I found elsewhere in the news) ZERO mention of ignoring police commands and turned to officer gun in hand. Making him sound like an innocent child "tragically gunned down". fuck they media. They are PRAYING this results in riots as that garners MORE ATTENTION TO THE MEDIA.

DHS guy at the ~6:40 mark, "He's fucked." What you might say checking a complete rando, not someone you purposely sent alone to stage a stop for a known and demonstrably violent felon. Not a hint of remorse in any of the conversation afterward. All a game to these guys.

I wouldn't necessarily say no remorse. but these guys are definitely fucking idiots. by the tone of their voices and reactions to seeing his gun out, and saying a few things like "i knew...." it seems like deep down they knew this could be the outcome and that the perp was going to be extremely violent. maybe they offered to go with officer jarrott but he declined on the basis of his experience (he wasn't a complete noob, but probably didn't realize how high-level this perp was)? maybe they did just say "we're gonna let him roll solo on this one and be right here for back up if something happens." i hope they burn in any investigation that follows but seeing as how uncle sam takes care of his own they will ride a desk for a few months and then be back on the streets planning more failed ops. also looked like a shemagh that the first guy was wearing  something military guys who take themselves way too seriously continue to do once they get back stateside from oversea deployments (i work with those types everyday, definitely high on themselves). either way, wearing a shemagh, despite what people think, doesnt give you +10 tacticool points as i bet he thought it did. probably ex-military and if he's working a lowly job like homeland security chances are he probably wasn't special forces....but i bet he likes to play the part.after rolling up and calling him "fucked" and saying hes dead multiple times he then says "hey this guy has a GSW here, and to the chest and an exit wound in face....lets flip him over and check for a pulse." we've all been on this site long enough to know what his face looked like. probably just putting on a show for the cameras he remembered were recording |
