Re: Mass Shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Parkland, Florida
I think its like airline crashes, lots of people die in one instant, it is horrific, the news plays it over and over, and people get queasy about flying. But in reality, millions of people fly every day, incident free. There are over 93,000 schools in the US. There are over 49 million students. In the US, overall gun crime statistics are 23 people out of 100,000 die each year. In Australia it is 0.9 people out of 100,000. So you could say gun deaths in the US are 22 times worst than Australia. You could also say you have a 0.02 of 1% chance of dying in the US by gun violence. (Of course that is overall. If you go to bad neighborhoods and are involved in gangs or selling drugs, likely you have a higher percent than the rest of the population) One more thing I'd like to point out. In my town, the local police have one resource office per school to stop fights, and prevent violence. They are armed. If the private school security guard in Florida was allowed to be armed, the shooter would likely be dead, and some lives saved. In Texas, teachers are allowed to have a concealed weapon. How would that have changed things? I know this shooter had some mental issues and during the course of the process he was deemed not to be a threat. BUT since this is not a NORMAL thing, being interviewed because you did something that caused someone to think you were a threat; shouldn't that have at least been a RED FLAG on his record to say - HEY, if this guy seeks a weapon, a deeper investigation should be performed during the background check?! |

Agreed, these days it is getting harder and harder to know who to trust, and what data to trust. You've got to trust your gut and common sense. I'm not sure I'd trust Antifa any more than I don't trust Snopes. Did you notice the misprint just above the city list? March 18th? When the rest of the image uses March 14th? So was this cut and pasted together too? And there should be a law with stiff penalties against political protests when participants are paid. They should at least have to have signs saying they are being paid. Just like the law, which the FTC strictly enforces, that if you have a testimony about a product or service and you compensated said individual in any way, you must disclose that the endorsement was paid, or is an actor, etc. You can't give prizes, cash, comps, or any other compensation for great reviews. |

LMAO! Yeah, that's Trump. No strong guiding principles or beliefs and doesn't care about the 1st and 2nd amendment. So, since you're obviously a smart guy, you'll know a great deal when you see one! I have a ski resort in Florida I am looking to unload cheap. Let me know if you're interested. It's only $5000 if you respond fast and send the money via bitcoin. Let me know and I'll send you the info to send the payment to. If you wait until tomorrow, unfortunately I must raise the price back up to $5 million. Lol! |

Re: Mass Shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Parkland, Florida
So how does it make you feel that MANY times more people die in automobile accidents in the U.S. than by guns? Please reply with a YES or NO, should we ban automobiles? Of course we should if your point is TRULY about saving lives. If that is your cause, then it is not even debatable. All automobiles must be eliminated immediately. I would say we can can go back to horses, but A LOT of people got killed on those. So, I guess we're down to walking. Good luck in my state of AZ, where you will die in the first two miles during the summer. Ok, how about we all just stay the fuck in our houses and never come out? How's your food supply looking??? Got enough food stored for the next several decades by any chance? I have news for you cupcake, innocent people will die as long as there is a person alive who is capable and willing to kill. So, anyhow, I think Trump is taking the best possible approach to an impossible situation. He is going after the CAUSE instead of the symptom. He is now talking about mental problems, medications, etc. No offense, but Australia, due to liberal leaders is going overboard to cast off it's criminal history, that I hope you don't need a history lesson from an American on. All of a sudden you guys act like you're living at the top of holy mountain. Much like Sweden that is committing suicide by islam because it hates it's so called white roots, to Germany committing suicide by islam because it feels guilty for WW2, Australia is doing the same. Honestly, no EU country or Australia should be throwing rocks at the U.S. As your countries and economies are tanking with ZERO hope to turn it around, ours is skyrocketing. It is going to get FAR worse in the next few years. In time, we WILL take down the disgusting mongrols that have been holding our country down for decades. It is happening, slowly, but surely. Fortunately, we didn't vote in hillary or we would be leading the world in suicide by islam right now. Countries like yours would be trying to out do us on how many "refugees" you take in. Mark my words, people from your countries will be begging to move to the U.S. in a few years. Virtue signaling about gun violence here will seem incredibly trivial when you're trying to flee for your lives. |

Fuck the cop who said put the phones away. The kids with the phones are the reason anyone knows what the fucks going on. They’re the assholes coming into a classroom pointing guns at kids who are literally cowering in the corner because someone’s out there killing people.

Not charges alone; just convictions. Couple sources just off the top of the Google results: http://www.tedhess.com/Criminal-Defe...Violence.shtml http://www.joshjohnsonlaw.com/gun-ri...chase-firearms In certain cases, those under investigation/ajuducation for certain charges cannot have physical possession or access to firearms, but those firearms don't always have to be relinquished to authorities, and they can be returned should no conviction result. And as always, it can vary from state to state, and Federal law can (also) apply in certain cases. |
