Re: Eric Garner Dies After NYPD Cop Puts Him in a Chokehold
another pay day for the guy's family. dumb ass cops lack training and discipline. yeah, lets just jump him, and choke-hold him to the ground, and then continue to choke him. "officers" need to be sent to the dog-house for that one...never gonna happen though. fired, restitution, and probation...

Re: Eric Garner Dies After NYPD Cop Puts Him in a Chokehold
Or maybe if the cops got up off him after he clearly said I CANT BREATHE this man would still be alive today. But let me guess, in the cops report the guy only saying he did nothing wrong was the signal that their life was at risk. You really think a person as big as him ALREADY RESTRAINED would be able to pull himself off the ground and run away from them??? They murdered that man pure and simple. There was NO REASON to put that man in a damn chokehold or a knee on his head with his hands tied behind his back. No reason!!! AT ALL! I guess it's easy for someone such as yourself to think the cops aren't at fault when you and or one of your relatives aren't constantly pulled over or followed because you fit a so called damn "description". |

Re: Eric Garner Dies After NYPD Cop Puts Him in a Chokehold
Interesting LadyKnight7891 and CuriousGeorge420 . By reposting only a part of my previous comment is only proving my point again that people only see what they want to see, which is often inaccurate due to a partially judgement on the whole scenario or misinterpretations. I did finish my comment by saying : See there is a few variables that can shift the accountability back on to the al-edged victim.! so stop being so pathetic always looking to blame the police. And my piont being that everyone judges situation differently through their own interpretation and we do this because we all see a hand full of cops trying to restrain a very large man who appears to be resisting arrest. There is clearly a section cut from this film from 00:32 to 00:34 something else has happened that was cut from this film..WHY? Why did it need to be removed? And is that an intentional edit to mislead the viewers perceptions of this incident! 1. The police were calm 2. They had no weapons drawn. 3. They have listened to Garners story. Then suddenly there is a gap in the film before Garner says “DON’T TOUCH ME OFFICER” Now if the police believe that a crime has occurred they have the right to place a citizen under arrest until further investigation and they do this to keep us all safe. If a cop reads you your rights and tells you that you will be placed under arrest until further investigation and your response is “DON’T TOUCH ME OFFICER” then from that point onwards you are resisting the police officers directive and you are resisting arrest.! Let me put a scenario to you that actually happened several years ago in AFRICA. You have access to a gun and you wake up in the middle of the night to find an intruder inside your Kitchen erratically brandishing a knife and heading to your kids bedroom. You have no more than 2 seconds to react as he pushes past you towards your child’s room. What would you DO? Most of us would probably try and put him down as quick as possible to protect my children. Unfortunately, for that guy brandishing the knife, He has just been involved in a serious car accident out the front of your home, his wife was trapped by her seat belt in a burning car and he has broken in to the closest place possible to grab a large kitchen knife to free her. You were in a deep sleep and did not hear him break in, adrenaline is flowing and he needs to pass your child’s room to get back out to his wife. My point being, Police arrive on scene after crimes have taken place and have to deal with half assessed situations every day. |

Re: Eric Garner Dies After NYPD Cop Puts Him in a Chokehold
first being involved in MMA if your able to talk you can breathe, but apparently choke holds aren't allow by this police dept. That aside he took a fighting posture of tensing up, resisting which elevates the heart rate and he had a heart attack so who fault? I say his as the store owners in the area call the police to complain he was selling illegal cigs which he has many arrests so he's not the nice jolly old grampa he a guy who was trying to talk his way out of an arrest. because you think it not serious is not the point who gets to decide which laws we can break or not? If he put his hands behind his back he'd be alive for a while longer at least
