Re: A Collage of World Trade Center Jumpers

And that is absolutely true. But most folks won't do that; they would just rather complain abut it. Like me, I don't mind being an "American", I was born and raised here, so I have no real say in that matter. I could pack up and go, but I would go to Canada, or Italy, or Britain, or anywhere for that matter. I just don't think this "God" character has anything to do with anything.

Fair enough...God bless America wasnt really what I was trying to say or show, but rather a pic of the Firefighters standing over the rubble.

I can accept your opinion..And appreciate another point of view..I was not attacking your opinion..Just clarifying my own..Its all good..

Re: A Collage of World Trade Center Jumpers

Am I the only person in the entire country who is tired of the whole WTC thing?

I mean, when you put it into perspective with what some countries in the rest of the world go through, WTC was nothing. In our nation's history we have been attacked on our own soil, what, twice? Yes, thousands died, and its horrible -- but what about what happens in checnya, and africa, and the middle east, to innocent people - every single day.

And instead of, I don't know, learning some kind of lesson from this atrocity, we started some bullshit war that seems to be endless and way more costly than what happened on September 11.
You do realize that there were hundreds of companies in the WTC, representing over 25 different nations? Hence, the WORLD Trade Center? If the attack on the WTC happened on another country's soil, would it be worth remembering to you? Just curious.

Re: A Collage of World Trade Center Jumpers

Any American who bitches about America really looks like a jackass, because nobody is forcing you to stay. You don't like it...leave. Yes, it's really that simple. If you have no loyalty to your country then you don't belong here. Move to some other country, and see how you fair America is one of the freest countries in the world. Why else would people be dying in an attempt to get here. Other countries are much more oppressed than the U.S. You think you have it so bad here.....leave but, don't come crawling back whining, and sniveling wanting back in.

Re: A Collage of World Trade Center Jumpers

I am teaching a course on terrorism right now and use this to teach my students that it is not some abstract concept.

Re: A Collage of World Trade Center Jumpers

Great post!

Weird, looks as if a few of them decided to go ahead and enjoy the fall...as if they were just doing a normal skydiving jump...I suppose that's what I would probably do myself

Turbulence caused them to tumble.

Excellent post, there was a documentary here in the UK last week, it concerned the identifying of the guy below. They succeeded, he was a events manager at the restaurant at the top of the 1st tower.
