Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here

Yeah man no problem, some people that don't believe in God like to talk down on believers and other way around, I just respect everyone and their opinion/religion, considering it doesn't affect me in any way lol. I just hate when believer's go crazy on me when I tell them I don't believe in God.

On a side note , Bill check out this thread before John gets to it : http://www.documentingreality.com/fo...d-death-98065/

Thanks for the heads up. John will be all over this one !

That is also true. Never had one, but was attacked by one. Since then, all of them are bad in his eyes.

Honestly I watch out for the little dogs because almost all my bites are from chihuahua's, mini dachshunds and Pomeranian's, they are feisty bastards.

Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here

I apologize b/c I've been drinking but people SIN! Pedophinles are not the result of God but b/c God allowed Adam and Eve to choose between right and wrong. They chose wrong and (as I like to say) all Hell broke loose. Pedophiles are the result of Man not God. Man sinned and creates Sinner.

God, in His glory, redeems sinners regardless of the sins committed. He sent His son to pay the price with his "blood of infinite value." Like a credit card without limit that God pays off b/c He loves us.

If He saved the worst (and He already did b/c Paul the Apostle admits He was the worst of the worst) it magnifies God's glory and gives hope to the worst of people.

(Remember, I am an atheist but can get caught up it "what once was")

Re: I Know I Am Stirring Up a Hornet's Nest Here

dude you are grown man, and i see your not dumb or annything, but you believe in god. In my opinion there is no god, history books are lieing. The people who believes, if something goes teribly wrong, they say, 'oh well god wanted that and he will save us' :D That is insane, watch zeitgeist, and listen to George Carlin speaking about god. And think, use your head. If no one would show you or tell you, you would not even know about this bullshit, but we live in age when you are child, you are told that there is god etc. If i born in island where no one lives, and some1 come and teach me some english and tell for example the water is god, hes your creator :D i would believe becouse ge told me.

erny, you need to have facts to dispute the idea of God and argue pro or con.

Why don't you believe? What is the evidence for or against the idea?

bryan i dont argue its just my opinion, you cant argue over this, who believes will always find a way to protect theyr statments, and whos not believing always find theyr way. But for me its mind blowing how people still in our age do believe.

I believe there is a higher power, just not in the way all the bible thumpers make it out to be.

I have to say thank you, all of you. I know this can be and usually is a touchy subject, but everyone has been respectful, and I HONESTLY appreciate it.
