Democrats have succeeded in shifting individual responsibility for wokeness. A population base of angry victims cannot be blamed for their actions! Remember: Retail Theft is okay cause of systemic racism. For example, DR hates all black, pregnant men. I know this cause my emoji won’t post. |

I don't think that's it- Presidents Reagan through Clinton had the largest increase in mass incarceration in the history of our country where we again lead the world in numbers of people in prison. They added the 3 strikes your out and mandatory sentences. Not to mention that out of those 55 years, starting with Nixon through Trump, the majority, 32 of those years, were under Republican presidents.

I think one factor may have been during the sixties when they closed hundreds of mental health facilities. Prior they literally had those in every little city like we have public hospitals, but it was decided to close down the majority of those institutions and transfer care to private facilities.

Maybe it's because we're the only country in the world where there are 120x more guns than people, making events like this more statistically probable than anywhere else

Re: Texas Mall Shooting - El Paso
70 mass shootings in less than two months... What has happened indeed... Is it the population explosions? Information age? Politicians pitting everyone against each other while they go have lavish dinner parties and laugh at us plebs? Gay frogs? Plain entropy? The list is probably endless. It feels like we're spiraling around a drain. For instance, I love the internet and what it enables us to do. But it also brings us toxic social media and scammers and misinformation in constant, endless supply, leading to or exacerbating mental health woes--which imho are in some shape or form at the base of all of our problems. The irony is that most people are aware of the dangers of social media etc but...don't seem to take it seriously? Or perhaps they don't realise it applies to them. And now we have the singularity to contend with! |
