There might now have been rioting if Brown's accomplice hadn't lied about the situation.
He said they weren't doing anything, they were just walking, and that the cop pulled up, choked Brown, and then shot him when he tried to pull free of the choke... then the truth came out.

They were fleeing from an assault/robbery and(from the most current witness accounts) Brown struggled with and attempted to disarm Officer Wilson as he was being apprehended - which led to the first shot being fired.
After that Brown ran, taunted the officer, and then charged him - that's when the officer fired the last 5 shots.

I don't have a side, i'm just going by the reports.

It seems like you're invested in this being a hate crime and only commenting on things that steer the story in that way, like:

By the way, I'm not calling this a hate crime or racially motivated. You won't find a single post were I've made any such accusation. What I've said, if you'd bother to read, is that this case looks bad if this guy was attempting to surrender. It look like murder at worse or at minimum a wrongful death and civil rights violation.

But by all mean, call him a gorilla around some brothers and let's see if they give you a pass...or a beating. I'm sure they'll understand you weren't trying to be racist, no, not at all...you just think he look like an ape.

Anyone watching the news....looks like all hell is getting ready to break loose again. The cops are not putting up with any shit tonight....NO curfew either.

Absolutely. And they have reported he has not been demoted or reprimanded nor any complaints against him. And if there was anything on him. You can bet your last dollar there are people trying as we speak to find it. The question is. . Will you be appalled if they report something negative about the officer?
There's the court of public opinion whether you like it or not. You can't get mad because a undesputable "fact" released. It's the way it should be. If the cop has skeletons we should know

A unconfirmed story told from the cop to a family friend. Gives account that if true, I believe will make the shooting justified.

Who knows if it's the truth.

But what nobody seems to be talking about is if he is exonerated and it's declared the officer did nothing wrong. Will that city go ape shit? Or even worse, will it spread.
