Lol Wombo, no offense to any bully/terrier breed owner. On average and based on my dog training experiences i agree. They can get pretty silly and make you laugh. I like to compete in different dog venues so the German Shepherd is my "breed of choice" most are eager to please and learn very fast. Im probably a little more serious about training then most regular pet homes so may not see things like most. It does get costly, most hobbies do. Any true "working" dog is not for the faint of heart or a couch potato. Dogs will find a job one way or another!! Banning does not work imo. Humans need to do the research on what they plan on inviting into their home for the next 10 or 15 years. Cute puppy faces change fast!

Every Pit Bull I've ever had was very high in intelligence. That's a big part of what gets them into trouble. Very fast learners.

If you've been around a "Stupid dog" it's 90% the owner's fault. If you don't nurture the mind, it will not grow.

I agree 100, I challenged my animal and she always adapted.. she's scary smart .. there are actually personality colors for animals ... she's definitely not one that would sit in the back yard and starve to death without finding a way out .. some resign to their fate some adapt and learn .. pits are a misunderstood breed ..so many shouldn't own them and are the reason for them being aggressive in most cases ..

Perhaps they make good guard dogs? Nah, sadly they don't. They don't have the guard dog instinct. They don't even make a top-18 list of best guard dog breeds. Sure, they can be used as guard dogs anyway, counting on their mere scary appearance to scare a trespasser. Which bring us to the next "pro" choice. Is this a good looking , charming or a handsome dog? Well, you be the judge.

They're not particularly smart or good looking, and it possesses no special skill or ability other than fighting. Yes they make great fighting dogs. I don't have the stats but i'm guessing they rank right up there at being the best fighting breed.

If you're not into a blood sport there is only one "pro" to owning a pit bull, and now we get back to my main point. The only reason to choose a pit bull is because you believe it is some kind of fashion statement.

Sorry but pit bulls do need to be banned. They have been bred to be dangerous and that's why they are now. Granted, they didn't start out that way. The "Our Gang" dog was a pit bull. But the modern version has been bred to be aggressive and dangerous.
